Who is Going to Saranac?
To introduce some of you
that may not be familiar with our player designation system - here's how
it works. A long time ago Rick
Scanlon started using the term BEAR
and BABY. If you followed his lead,
played with reckless abandon and never gave up you were a
BEAR. If you didn't you were a
BABY. So now we have adopted the
following classification
scheme.
If you are going and playing you are a BEAR
If you are still able to play, but choose not to go,
or go and not play, then you are a
BABY
If you can't play any more because of injury or other issues you are a
Permanent Touch Judge (PTJ)
There is no shame in being a
PTJ. You've given your all and just
can't do it any more. We respect that. However, being a
BABY is quite a different story. After
the CanAm tournament is over all non-PTJ
players
will be reclassified as BABIES until they commit for the next year. |
