Common
Excuses and Possible Remediation
|
"My wife won't let me!" |
Who
wears the rugby boots in your family anyway? Negotiate,
tell your wife you will take her on a Hawaiian vacation
if she let's you play some rugby every August - It
worked for Frank Caruso. After years of attending the
tournament with Frank, Janet got to go to Hawaii in 2004. What
a nice scrum half. |
|
"I'm out of shape" |
If
you really can't play, just come to visit. Otherwise, don't
be a weasel. Get to the gym, put in a few miles. It
can't hurt and you'll ultimately feel and look better. |
|
"The tournament interferes
with our family vacation" |
That's easy. Change your vacation or bring the family
along. There is plenty to do. (Hiking, Sightseeing,
Shopping, Santa's North Pole, Take the ferry across Lake
Champlain to Burlington, etc...) |
|
"I live to
far away" |
Many
of us do. Every other year works for some. Some come
each year from as far away as Georgia and North Carolina. For those
that live close your excuses need to be more creative. |
