The “P. Kevin Gilman ’74 Memorial Scholarship” fund has been established to commemorate the contributions of Kevin to the Oswego Community and the SUNY Oswego Rugby Club. The scholarship will be set up as a dual purpose fund supporting the following elements: 1.   Support for a Oswego High school senior entering SUNY Oswego meeting specific needs criteria defined by Irene Gilman 2.   Support for the SUNY Oswego Rugby Club (Travel/meal expenses, equipment, etc…) Typically this type of fund is set up where a certain percentage of the fund is eligible for disbursement each year. As an example, if the fund value was $100,000 and the disbursement percentage was 4% (typical) there would be $4,000 eligible for disbursement. That means the more you give, the more you support the causes important to Kevin and Irene. This is a great way to help fund the Oswego Rugby program on an ongoing basis as well as helping a young student go to SUNY Oswego. Who knows, that student may eventually go on to play SUNY Oswego Rugby.
